  • Midterm: Feb. 23 (Thu), 2006
  • Final exam: Wednesday Apr. 19, 2006 at 2:00 pm NOTE: the date has changed!

  • Material: L.E. Reichl: A modern course in statistical physics (recommmended) or lecture notes.

  • Weekly assignments: The first one will appear here on Thu. Jan. 12. The assignments are due on the following Thursday. All the answers must be handwritten (i.e. no printed answer sets). The assignments will be returned the following Thursday after the deadline.

  • Assessment: Weekly problem sets + midterm + final (details in class).

  • Academic integrity: Working together is encouraged. Copying, plagiarism and cheating of any kind is absolutely forbidden.

NOTE:

  • No lectures during the reading week. Marked assignments will be returned when the lectures resume on Mar. 8.
  • No lecture on Thursday Mar. 9 due to Graduate Talks.
